Restoration of Finances

In 3 John 2 - John prays "beloved, I wish above all things that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers. (NKJV) Is it possible that the disciple John included prosperity alongside health as an indication of God's value on His people doing well in all areas of life? Oh that we had an understanding of biblical financial principles in our youth so that we would not have to experience the bondage of debt and lack. This bondage has no boundaries and can transcend every race, origin, and creed. Recently, at a major evangelical conference, when asked to raise your hands if you were struggling with debt or finances, approximately 95% of the conference attendees raised their hands. God said he wanted us to prosper, not be in bondage.

Throughout the Bible there are written accounts of God supernaturally canceling His people's debt. God is the same God today as He was in biblical times. However, for the majority of us, biblical principles are going to have to be applied in order for God to restore our finances to the state that He intended them to be. The first step in lining up our finances according to the Word is to Tithe. Malachi 3: 9-10 teaches us unless we are honoring God with our tithes and offerings we are positioning ourselves for a curse. Likewise, if we follow this biblical principle, He promises to open the windows of heaven. After we have begun to obey spiritual laws we have to line up with natural laws. What are we doing with the 90% God says is ours for our pleasure. Are we saving and investing or are we disrespecting it? An exhaustive study of how to apply spiritual and biblical principles for financial breakthroughs can be found in the tape series "It's Not Lack, It's Disrespect, Faith and Finances, Possessing Your Prosperity and Ready for Blessing"

Increasing Financially

In the process of financial increase, pressure comes. But even under pressure you can still increase financially?

Here's How:

Ten Steps to Increasing When the Pressure Is On What to do when the financial pressure is on . . .

  1. When the pressure is on and you're trying to increase - You must TITHE! (Malachi 3: 8-12)

  2. When the pressure is on, you still have to SOW.

  3. Even when the pressure is on you still have to SAVE.

  4. If you have an automatic savings plan, an annuity plan or a retirement plan on your job, put money in it.

One of the easiest ways to save is to put away a dollar a day.  If you can't save a dollar begin by saving your change.

  5. When the pressure is on you still need to INVEST.

Something needs to be receiving increase even while you're under pressure.

  6. When the pressure is on you are going to have to RESPECT the money you do have.

  7. When the pressure is on you are going to have to REBUKE.
Rebuke Fear (False Evidence Appearing Real)

  8. Rebuke the temptation to go back and quit.

  9. Rebuke Loss Aversion (the fear of not wanting to take a risk because you may lose something)

  10. Rebuke the Ten Dumb Things:

    1. The Chicken Little syndrome -- jumping to catastrophic conclusions.
The sky is NOT falling.  The Chicken Little Syndrome can paralyze you.
    2. Mind Reading:  "Well, they know what's up so I don't need to say anything".
    3. Personalizing every challenge.  "This never happens to anybody but me!"
    4. Rebuke believing your press agent.  Your press agent says if you did great in one venture you won't have to put any effort into another venture.
    5. Believing or inventing your critics.  Don't believe your critics, especially the ones that haven't tried to do what you're trying to do.  Don't make up critics, (I know they're talking about me!).
    6. Rebuke perfectionism.  Perfectionists desire to be perfect in all things.  This can handicap you and magnify everything that is not right.  The desire to be 100% can take you to 0% accomplishment and take you out of faith.  There is only one person perfect in all things, JESUS CHRIST!
    7. Rebuke "Comparisonitis", focusing only on the negative comparisons
of you versus others and accepting negative comparison by others.
      (2 Corinthians 10:12)
    8. Rebuke the "What If" thinking.  Adding what is highly not probable to what is real.  The "what ifs" takes the fact that you don't have all you need to the square root power and over magnifies the negatives.
    9. Rebuke the Imperative Should.  It says if you do that you'll be sorry.
    10. Rebuke the "Yes, Butisms" which always manages to find a negative to outweigh any and all positives.

In order to increase under pressure you're going to have to apply something.

  1. Apply the Word
  2. Apply the Right Confessions
  3. Apply the Right Wisdom
  4. Apply the Right Information
